For all of you who keep an eye open for Beyond Paradise have a look at The Porters Arms when the 3rd. series is screened later in the year. Looks a lot like Looe Angling Club!
It’s been a busy month, what with Mrs. B&B struggling along with a bad back but she has served one and all and I am very proud of her dedication. So many guests and many from abroad, we have had Peruvians, Americans, Canadians, Germans, Swedes, Swiss, Dutch, Belgians, Irish and of course a few Brits for good measure,
It has been busy socially as well. We attended The Sardine Factory’s tasting menu night. The most sublime food paired with wine, ale and cider. To be fair we felt a little bit worse for wear after 6 courses all with a paired drink. What a great night and a very reasonable price, we do hope there will be more to follow. It was held the evening before The Looe Food Festival which has developed from last years embryonic event into a proper festival with lots of cooking demonstrations and a greater number of stalls. Hopefully this will continue to evolve in the coming years. Thank you, Ben Palmer for the tasting night and your efforts in getting the food festival going.
We have just seen the 2024 Looe Weekender come to an end and it was, as usual, a great weekend but this time tinged with sadness as we learned of Paulene Faulkner’s sad passing. She was a great stalwart of the music scene in Looe and The Bullers arms will never be the same again. R.I.P. Paulene.
We had our returning Tuna fisher man stay with us again and yes he was lucky again. This time a fish around the 250lb mark. The following day he also landed a small Blue Shark so he left us a very happy man. See you next year Nigel.
Last time I asked who is Helen Folasade Adu better known as and of course she is Sade. This time I ask who did Ray Manzarek play key boards for ?
