Access statement

 

Our home was built in the 1930's on a steep slope over looking the estuary and close to Looe town.

 We offer four guest rooms which are situated on the first and second floors.

 Our staircases turn at tight angles and being an older property the corridors are more narrow than usual.

 

There are approximately 22 fairly steep steps and an inclined path from the roadside to our front entrance there is a handrail up until the last five steps after which there is no rail.

There are approximately 30 steep steps to our rear access and parking with the top steps not having a hand rail.

 

We regret that the nature of the access may be unsuitable for wheelchair users, those suffering with severe asthma or those with mobility restrictions.

 

Parking is on an off street bay at the rear of the house. There is a fairly steep slope to the parking bay which may be unsuitable for low vehicles such as sports cars. If choosing to utilise this parking bay it is best to reverse at an angle and not approach head on.  Access is then via steps previously mentioned, then along the side of the house to the front of the building. For heavy luggage arrangements can be made for access via the fire exit on the first floor. Just let us know on arrival if this is a requirement.

 

On street parking is available adjacent to the house from April to October free of charge. There is alternative car parking in the main town car park approximately 600m away. This offers free parking during the hours of 18.00 and 09.00 and the current charge is £4.80-£6.80 per 24hrs dependant on season.

 

The nearest bus stop is 800m away at Looe Bridge (East side).

 

Looe railway station is approximately a third of a mile ways. Taxis are usually available from Looe Bridge, which is 600m flat walk from the station. If you are arriving by train and would like a taxi booked for you in advance then please just let us know at time of booking.

 

Looe town and its wide variety of shops and eateries is 10 minutes walk away and the beach is approximately the same.
